Creative Liaison @ AHEAD USA in New Bedford, MA – 2007 to present
Hired in 2007, Jesse was originally trained as a Digitizer, worked in Production Art, managed our newly established Direct to Garment Department, and eventually became the point person for Production Screenprint and DTG before his promotion to Creative Liaison.Since 2014, the Creative Liaison position was quite literally created for him based on his talent to conceptualize and implement design solutions to meet production requirements and marketing strategy. The Creative Liaison works directly with the Chief Creative Officer to bridge knowledge between the Sales Reps, Senior Design Team and Production Artists and Digitizers. He is an accomplished designer, digitizer and developer for the company, and, with our COO, pioneers new concepts for products, process and technical development. After spending 13 years working in product design and ornamentation for a multimillion dollar brand, Jesse knows what truly drives innovation and how to improve communication between departments to create the best ornamentation and design on the market—and it’s not by managing without understanding the process. It’s actually engaging in the workflow you want to improve, so that the solution works and is intuitive for all. It’s building the right tools to empower others to do their best work with you. It’s connecting with everyone you’re trying to help and communicating that understanding back to them. The Creative Liaison is a specialized position within the Senior Design Team created to, among other things, support the translation of custom designs to new techniques and physical samples. Along with this unique role in the Studio, Jesse also works along side the team as a designer to create the speculative art for our Sales Reps that drives business.
